JASIE BOYD, LCSW-S, LCDC, BCN
Executive Director

I started my career in a residential treatment center for women who were homeless and struggling with addiction and mental illness. Some came from poverty. Some had left successful careers and families to end up there. All of them had survived trauma. All of them carried shame. And almost all of them, given the right conditions, found their way to something better.
Those women were my best teachers, about trauma, about shame, about the lies it tells, and about the extraordinary resilience that lives in people who have been through things that should have broken them. I count it among the greatest privileges of my life to have been present for that.
From there I moved into a church setting, working with individuals, couples, and families across the full range of what it means to be human — grief, addiction, betrayal, depression, the quiet desperation of a life that looks fine from the outside. What I kept seeing, across every background and every presenting problem, was the same thing: people trying to find hope, and struggling to believe they had the power to change.
That’s still what I see every day. And it’s still what gets me out of bed.

What You Should Know About Working With Me
The thing clients are most surprised by is that this isn’t transactional for me.
I think about my clients between sessions. I remember what they’ve said, not because I’m reviewing notes, but because they matter to me. I invest in the people I work with, and I have genuine relationships with them, within the appropriate boundaries of good clinical practice. My belief, grounded in decades of research and my own clinical experience, is that the relationship is what makes the work effective. Not the technique. Not the modality. The relationship.
I also don’t perform non-judgment. I genuinely don’t want to throw stones at anyone. I’ve sat with too many people carrying too much shame to have any interest in adding to it. What I care about is your goals, not my goals for you. My job is to help you see the power you already have and support you in using it.
If you’re looking for someone who will tell you what to do or fix you from the outside, I’m probably not your person. If you’re looking for someone who will be fully in your corner while you do the hard work of becoming who you want to be, we should talk.

Clinical Focus
I love this work – all of it. But I have a particular passion for addiction, both substance and behavioral. I’ve worked in this space since the beginning of my career and have seen what’s possible when people stop believing the story that they’re too far gone.
I work with individuals, couples, and families using a trauma-informed approach. My clinical toolkit includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and a range of other evidence-based and integrative approaches, tailored to the person in front of me, not applied by formula.
As a Board Certified Neurotherapist (BCN), I also bring a brain-based lens to my clinical work and provide clinical oversight for CCW’s neurofeedback program.

Founder & Executive Director
I founded Cypress Counseling & Wellness with the belief that people deserve access to mental health care that takes the whole person seriously — mind, body, nervous system, relationships, and story. We've built a practice that reflects that: an integrative team working across counseling, coaching, neurofeedback, and body-based therapies.
I still see clients every day, and I intend to keep it that way. The client work is what keeps everything else grounded.
