Ginny is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. She holds a certification in Prepare and Enrich, which is a 10- week pre-martial counseling program that many couples have found to be successful for their future marriage.

She has experience providing mental health and relational services to teens, families, premarital and couples/marriage counseling since 2018. Throughout the years, she has gained professional experience in an array of different settings. Ginny has spent time working with families, Pre-teens and adolescents (8-18 years old) in a private practice setting addressing challenges like anxiety, depression, life transitions, communication, co-parenting and many other relational dynamics. She enjoys working with couples to help them overcome relational distress and learn ways to communicate and connect with each other.

Furthermore, she has had experience providing services to adolescents with severe eating disorders and families affected by such. Ginny’s training in this area includes diagnosing eating disorders and co-occuring mental health distress. She has worked to identify issues such as body image distress, chronic dieting, disordered eating behaviors, low self-esteem, perfectionism and having a poor relationship with food and  body. Her stance in treating this sensitive area is focused on building healthy coping skills and providing support and education to families involved.

Ginny’s passion as a therapist is to create a space that feels safe and accepting for others to explore life’s challenges. She enjoys working with the many dynamics that can impact a relationship or family system. Ginny meets her clients in their current distress by taking  a collaborative and solution-focused perspective, with the intention to cultivate a life of meaning for all individuals, couples and families.
